Writer Notes: Part 2, Part 2! Had to make it because of the upcoming chapter for The Gang’s actual story line. Originally there was only going to be 3 parts to Hell High School…but I’m looking at possibly 5 now. They’ll probably be spread out according to what I tackle in The Gang.
Warnings: violent tempers all around, arguing, flirting, some magic, suggested content, smoking, jealousy, and run-on pictures.
Catherine always got what she wanted, but she never thought of the consequences.
She could ruin her life, but could she really ruin that of another’s?
It wasn’t right and it wasn’t fair, but it had been done. What would she do now?
Might as well sleep on it.
“You know, you missed fifth hour.” Shane said all nonchalant. But of course he would. He had no idea what was going on.
“Oh really…” Catherine replied, voice small.
“Get a move on girl or you’ll miss sixth hour too.”
“Shane…” she hurried after him, trembling. “I need to tell you something…something not easy to say.”
“So just say it.” he replied, but not like he really cared what she was going to say.
“No, you don’t understand…” Catherine shook her head. “This wasn’t suppose to happen. That night at the club…Sasha said you were upset about some fight you had with Sally and I just…wanted to make you happy.”
“Where are you going with this?” he asked.
“It’s your baby, Shane.”
“Like Hell it is!” he exclaimed.
“Now is not the time to be immature.” Catherine was angry. Angry that this happened and that it had happened to her. Shane didn’t understand. He was too stubborn to let himself.
“You’re crazy!” he snapped. “You and I have never…Catherine…what did you do?”
“I just wanted to make you happy, whatever it took.”
“What?! So you drugged me!”
“Please don’t do this to me Shane!” she cried. “I can’t do this alone! I need you!”
Perhaps to the blind eye, nothing was wrong. Catherine was just suddenly missing school and Shane was just bottling himself up like usual. But to those closest to him, they knew something was wrong. And like always when everything happened, it came in threes.
Even though Shane swore to himself that Catherine was a liar and crazy, at that, he could not help this feeling deep within him.
There was a baby and Catherine was gone. No one could get in contact with her and it had been months. School coming to a close soon and then the summer.
Where had Catherine gone? Why didn’t she stay and let the gang help her? But Shane knew that was his fault. If he wasn’t stubborn, perhaps things would have been different.
But he knew, if things had gone differently, he would have lost Sally. Though his relationship with her was so small in the bigger picture of things, it was her that kept him sane. That and knowing after the Spring Dance, there was just one more week of school.
But even as the dance ended and Friday rolled around to end the school year, their struggles were just beginning.
